Armadale Reptile and Wildlife Centre

The Armadale Reptile and Wildlife Centre houses a large variety of Australian reptiles. With more than 200 reptiles on display, belonging to over 50 different species, there is never a dull moment at the Armadale reptile park.

Despite the name, the Armadale Reptile Centre is home to more than just reptiles, with over 350 animals on site. The majority of these animals have been acquired due to being injured, abandoned, rescued or confiscated by authorities. This is thanks to the Centres very own rescue and rehabilitation program, that seeks to care for injured, sick or healing animals and rehome them for however long is necessary.

Since it’s opening in 1995, the Armadale Reptile Centre has been dedicated to educating the public about local wildlife and promoting the importance of conserving our flora and fauna. Armadale reptile park owners, Klaas and Mieke, are animal welfare enthusiasts, who have both previously worked at Perth Zoo. The pair started their own initiative to better serve as a source of education and to create awareness about our local reptile residents.

The Armadale Reptile Park can be found 35km south east of Perth city and is situated within the Perth hills. A picturesque area that boasts breathtaking walking trails, scenic waterfalls and plentiful picnic areas, as well as a large diversity of wildflowers and iconic Australian flora, that can be found within any of the areas national parks (there’s several).
