Highland Gathering and the Perth Kilt Run

Sunday 6 October, 8.30am - 4pm

Kilts, haggis, and all things Scottish are on show for this popular annual festival.

The only fun run that’s done in a kilt, this unique charity event consists of a 2.5km or 5km run, followed by a medieval festival. Be prepared for a visual spectacle of bagpipes, kilts, lots of Braveheart references, and everything Scottish in between.

Did we also mention a meet and greet with Scottish dogs?

Ready to get your run on? Register here, with proceeds going to charity. Adults are $10, while Youth are $5. Children 12 and under are free. Kilts are also available as an optional purchase when registering.

So come on down to Minnawarra Park in Armadale on Sunday 6 October for a day you’ll never forget. For more information visit the Armadale Highland Gathering and Perth Kilt Run website.

WA’s biggest wood chop with country fair is nearly here. With over 70 stalls and situated among the beautiful backdrop of Jarrahdale, you can’t ask for much more. Except you can because entry is also free.

LiveLighter Perth Hills Festival

Saturday 12 October, 9am - 4.30pm

With roots dating back to 1984, the previously known Karragullen Festival has become a highlight event in the Spring into Armadale calendar. Showcasing the best displays of local produce the Perth Hills has to offer, prepare to be dazzled at this year’s event.

The one day festival packs a lot of punch, with live cooking demonstrations and samples from celebrity chefs and loads of free activities for kids, like fruit kebab making, free rides and an animal farm. Local orchardists offer knowledge and advice to grow your own fruit trees, with the opportunity to purchase your own to take home with you. To get the full Perth Hills orchard experience, we highly recommend jumping on one of three orchard tours to visit surrounding avocado, persimmon and stone fruit orchards.

The Livelighter Perth Hills Festival will be hosted on the Old Station Road Karragullen Pavilion and Oval. Entry prices for Adults are $10, while Kids and Concession are $5. Under 12’s are free.
