1. Araluen Botanic Park

You’ve seen it in spring, but did you know there’s something blooming year-round at Araluen? Enjoy a picnic surrounded by beautiful gardens against a backdrop of native bushland.

Home to the iconic red bridge and the Minnawarra Historic Precinct; keep an eye out for a variety of water birds that call this park home.

Once the site of Kelmscott Pools, this shady park is one for the whole family (including the furry four-legged kind).

4. Wungong Dam

If visiting Brenton See’s mural is on your to-do list, why not make an afternoon out of it with a picnic? This dam also has a recreation lake that you can dip your toes into during hot summer days.

5. Raeburn Orchards

9. Canning Dam

Did you know that Canning Dam was Perth’s primary water supply until the 1960s? And that it still supplies approximately 20% of Perth’s drinking water today? The dam offers some of the best views in Perth and has several short historical trails nearby for the history buffs in your party.
